Earth
Deserts, mountains, laterite profiles, rock weathering, the landforms of Australia have permeated Dianne’s consciousness and found their way into her work. The essence of a place, the feelings it evokes are the subject matter, not a strict representation of the landscape.
The time scale of landform development dwarfs our everyday concerns but the anthropomorphic effect on our actions on the planet will last for millennia. The works remind us of the beauty of the landscape and hopefully prompt consideration for it.
